Madonna continues rehearsals for her Sticky and Sweet Tour, which is to feature a cameo from Britney Spears herself.  Although the shoot was troubled with set issues, it has been officially confirmed by Madonna’s publicist, Liz Rosenberg, and Britney’s manager, Larry Rupolph.  The video will show Britney dressed in a hoodie going mental in an elevator (probably not too difficult for our Brit Brit), before she turns to the camera and says her newest catchphrase, “It’s Britney, Bitch!“

It’s a huge news day!  Some of you may have heard that Madonna has been tweaking the setlist for the Sticky and Sweet Tour, and has dropped atleast one of her old classics, replacing it with “Human Nature”, her commentary on the media’s treatment of her from the “Bedtime Stories” album.  Quite why, I had no clue.  Apparantly “Human Nature” had been rerecorded for 2008 and was sounding amazing.  People were excited, again I was missing the point.

So here’s the ‘OMFG bend me over and do me several times your madgesty’, moment.  The new version of “Human Nature” has been adapted as a commentary on young Hollywood today, and features samples from Britney’s “Gimme More“.  As if that wasn’t enough, tomorrow Britney herself will join Madonna in New York to film a new video backdrop for the song.  Britney and Madonna together again!  It’s magical!!

And as if that wasn’t enough to get your weekend off to a toe-tingling start, reports also suggest that as part of Britney’s mission to rebuild her career, she will join Madonna on a few select nights of the Sticky and Sweet Tour to perform the song LIVE!  Wooo!  I’d rather have a gyrating Britney than an unshaved Justin any day.

Following my original post of the preliminary setlist for Madonna’s “Sticky And Sweet Tour”, Perez Hilton has followed up with an image of the latest setlist, which he says comes from a very reliable source.

I will post the setlist after the jump, for anyone who doesn’t mind a few spoilers. Whilst it is different to the original setlist, some parts remain the same, so I think this is definitely the kind of direction she is going in.  She’s bringing back a whole heap of songs that she’s avoided recently too, which makes it all the more exciting.

News just in!  Swedish pop legend Robyn will be the support act for Madonna’s Sticky And Sweet tour on it’s European leg.  No word yet on whether or not this includes the UK dates at Cardiff and Wembley.  Although it is all very exciting.  Robyn has been getting great reviews for her tour of the UK over the past few weeks, and her album “Robyn” is one of the best pop albums of the decade.

Also in, the stage will feature a catwalk, and the Eddie Amador remix of “Give It 2 Me” is very good.

For anyone who missed the memo, Heatherette are a New York based design duo who became huge when Sex and the City megastar stylist Patricia Field bought 20 of one of their designs at first sight.  Since then it’s been a ride up a gloriously trashy trail.

Heatherette have dressed the likes of drags queens, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.  Yeah, they really got that drag queen thing down.  Their stuff is an orgasm of colour, sequins and tatters served up in the form of club wear.  If anyone wants to buy me some Heatherette, I won’t say no.

This has not gone un-noticed by the once queen of New York, and now Queen Of Pop, Madonna, who has asked the Heatherette boys to knock up some stuff for the Sticky And Sweet Tour.  Amazing.

“Liz Rosenberg, her publicist, just contacted us and said that she wants us to come up with some sketches, some ideas and some inspirations for her tour,” Richie Rich explained. “I think, basically, for Madonna’s tour, we’ll come up with some sketches, some inspirations and listen to the album to get some ideas, and as young designers, we’ll come up with what we think is happening right now. That’s why Madonna’s a genius — she picks out the new blood, and we’ll see what happens. She already did the cowboy hat, so we’ll need to think of something else,” Rich joked.

Madonna is definitely into this whole candy coloured, modern punk fashion wave.  Just take a look at the teeshirt merch from the upcoming tour.  Me wanty:

Continuing the drag queen theme, Heatherette have recently teamed up with Mac Cosmetics (the drag make-up of choice), to launch their own cross-branded make-up.  The collection is all hot sparkles and strong pigments.  And the packaging is like a big gay disco.  Fabulous.

A Madonna tour is like a religious experience, and with the Sticky and Sweet Tour kicking off this summer in support of her latest album, Hard Candy, rumours are already beginning to fly.  A preliminary setlist has surfaced online.  It may be real, it may be as fake as Heidi Montag’s breasts/nose/lips/televised life/engagement.  But I’m going to post it, because it’s always fun to speculate on what she’s up to.
