Oh dear. Generally when I see the words “featuring R. Kelly”, something inside of me dies. Every album needs a stinker, on PCD it was the schmultzy “Stickwitu”, on The Pussycat Dolls’ newest album, “Doll Domination”, it appears to be this track…
Pussycat Dolls - Out Of This Club (feat. R. Kelly)
The video for the new Pussycat Hoes single, “When I Grow Up” has leaked online. It takes cheap and garish to new levels, and I’m addicted like a kid on crack. All that pink and yellow flashing about should be illegal (in the good way). And the dance breakdown in the middle is fab. The new album, called “Doll Domination” will be out later this year.
The Pussycat Dolls have performed on television for the first time as a 5 piece, with their new single “When I Grow Up”, which you may recall, I love. The image has improved, the dancing is still hot, but sadly Nicole still sounds like a dying puppy live. The outfits and routine were super hot though - the latex/corset combo kind of reminds me of Britney’s “In The Zone” era. Check it out below.
The new Pussycat Dolls single, the first to be taken from their new album due later this year, has leaked online. The Dolls’ first album turned out to be one of the best pop albums of the past few years, spawning hits such as “Buttons” and “Beep”. Since then, the Pussycat Dolls gained a member via a bad reality TV show, lost her, and then lost another one. Lead singer launched and failed at a solo career, and so, now as a 5 piece, they are back.
“When I Grow Up” goes back to the routes of what the Dolls are really good at: big club songs that are completely self-obsessed. They may be a bunch of glorified strippers, but this is damn good pop music.
Pop culture can be so dull and drab, but it can also be like an orgasm in an ice cream shop. Daneeeboy is about celebrating the stuff that makes your clit tingle, and not the other stuff. Simon Cowell is not welcome here. If you are Simon Cowell, please fuck off.
I like stuff that is independent. Stuff that speaks for itself. Stuff that makes me want to dance. Stuff that makes me want to cry. Stuff that's cheap and tacky. The glamorous, the dirty, the over the top and the insane.
