Hello! Well, basically, there is a new Daneeeboy.com on it's merry little way (with actual content!). But in the meantime I needed something to put here that wasn't the default 'bugger off' page. So to the right is some 'content' - a bit of news and a few features to wet your appetite, so to speak.
The new site will be along... soonish. In the meantime I am being hilarious on Twitter:
Robyn is, in essence, the Internet's popstar. Loved by bloggers worldwide and currently getting all our feathers ruffled with her latest release, Body Talk Pt. 1. And sticking with a theme, she's released a kind of online-digital-3D-style-interactive-video-thing for the opening track from the record, "Don't Fucking Tell Me What To Do".
If you tweet what is killing you, it will apparently appear in the video (although I've yet to see it working.) Robyn explains it all, appropriately, in this tweet.
Sometimes I miss the olden days.

Katy Perry For Esquire
Are Katy Perry and Lady Gaga the new Britney and Christina? One slags the other but they're both making similar moves. And while Gaga's got her arse out for Rolling Stone, Katy's gone and got her baps out for Esquire.
Katy's new album is called Teenage Dream. Apparently she was referring to herself. Blimey!

Ellie Goulding at Glastonbury
Welcome to the award winning* Daneeeboy.com Glasto coverage! We begin with this charming little video of 'critics choice' Ellie Goulding performing her Skins soundtrack special "Starry Eyed".
Not a bad performance from Ms. Ellie. Although if we're honest, she may be more of a studio artist than a Glastonbury staple. Chances of headlining the Pyramid Stage next year feel slim. And she'll have to go a long way to change our opinion on that one; Daneeeboy is gay! Ouch.

Lady Gaga Performs At Elton John's Ball
Dame Elton John was clearly quite enamored by the pop whirlwind that is Lady Gaga following their recent duet at the Grammys because he invited her to perform at his White Tie And Tiaras Ball last night.
Gaga performed selected highlights from her Monster Ball Tour, including "Dance In The Dark", "Bad Romance", "Poker Face", and of course, that "Speechless"/"Your Song" mashup. And she looked amazing (evidence: above).

Brandon Flowers Makes Autumn A Stuart Price Season Too
We can barely get enough of super-producer Stuart Price this summer. Between his work on the new Kylie album and the Scissor Sisters' Night Work, the man is quite literally ruling the airwaves this summer.
And luckily for us fans of glitchy disco pop, Mr. Price has turned his attentions to the debut solo album from Killers frontman Brandon Flowers. Flowers is best known for having an awesome name and a pretty face, but he also has a fantastic voice that he's put on show in his first single release "Crossfire". You can hear the song over at Brandon's official website.
The album, fabulously titled Flamingo is due out on the 14th of September.

Kylie Has Attitude
Here is an uber camptastic cover of Attitude Magazine starring the ga-icon-of-the-day Kylie Minogue. Kylie's new album Aphrodite is now 'out there' and I can assure you that it is very good and very gay-friendly. A review is on the way.
Kylie will also be bringing out the big shoes for the Jonathon Ross Show tonight.

The Story Behind Robyn's Rumoured Second Single
MuuMuse have a great piece up on the history of Robyn's forthcoming single, "Hang With Me".
Spiraling girlband The Saturdays have unveiled the title of their forthcoming third album as Headlines. The first single to be taken from the album, the summery "Missing You", is set to be unveiled on Saturday.
Let's just hope the album name isn't "Headlines, We Used To Make Them". *sad face*

Britney's Favourite Song Of The Summer...
A few weeks ago a certain Miss Britney Jean Spears tweeted that her favourite song of the summer is from a somewhat unknown act called Christian TV. The song- the controversially titled "When She Turns 18" - now has a pretty good video, so we're gonna post about it.
The song is very good; Britney was right. It sounds a bit like a good Simon Curtis track (sorry Simon). Or something from *NSync (THIS IS NOT A BAD THING)! And with a name like Christian TV, someone's bound to get their knickers in a twist over this one. Basically, one to watch.

One Thinks You're Going To Be Hearing Alot About Rusko Today...
How do you feel about dubstep? We get the feeling you're going to be hearing shitloads about UK dubstep DJ Rusko today. Odd, I know, because his debut album "OMG" has been out since May, but it all seems to be kicking off for him right about now.
First up, he's been working with the indie-cool M.I.A on her forthcoming album. Secondly, he's done quite a good remix of Kelis' "4th of July", as available for your listening pleasure via the awesome Idolator.
Lastly, he's only gone and done a video for his single "Hold On" (feat. Amber Coffman) which you can watch.... here. It's all very British and grimey, and we quite enjoy a bit of that every now and then!
Rusko seems to be one of those big 'names' you'll see knocking about alot over the coming year. There are plenty of rumours that he'll be working with all sorts of major pop acts, bringing a bit of dubstep to the mainstream. And we love dancing round like we're off our heads on something so that works for us.
Oh and here's a 'listen and download' remix thing:
Rusko is signed to Diplo's Mad Decent record label, and if you're into that kind of thing you should probably check out his album "OMG". And if you're not into that kind of thing, it has a cool cover.

Some Words On Miley's Lala
While we at Daneeeboy.com find it incredibly difficult to get ourselves in a tizzy over Miley Cyrus' recent revealing wardrobe choices or here pole dancing escapades, apparently the likes of the Daily Mail just can't handle it. Everyone seems to be chiming in with an opinion on Miley's state of undress (she's only 17! Won't somebody think of the children!), but Jezebel have posted a very good summary on the whole situation, which is well worth your time.

Robyn Live For Capital FM
Yesterday, Swedish pop supremo Robyn performed a live stripped back set at the Rimmel Rooms for Capital FM. She performed current single "Dancing On My Own", previous smash hit "With Every Heartbeat" and omg-is-this-the-next-single-maybe-but-not-hmm "Hang With Me". You can watch the whole thing here.
With regards to Robyn's next single, there is alot of buzz in the twittersphere that it will be "Hang With Me", but a Robyn rep has confirmed to MuuMuse that it's definitely still "Dancing On My Own" in the US, for now... And now for a visit from the rumourtrain: we have heard that Robyn's next single will be "Hang With Me", but not the stripped back version that appears on Body Talk Pt. 1. Rather, a full-sized, big beated, completed "Hang With Me" will be released promoting (and featuring on) Pt. 2. That's direct from Rumourtown, though, so take it with a pinch of salt.
Body Talk Pt. 2 is due out in August, FYI.

The Scissor Sisters Do "All The Lovers" In The Live Lounge
Suddenly I appreciate Kylie even more... The normally awesome Scissor Sisters took to the Live Lounge today and performed an 'interesting' countrified take on Kylie's "All The Lovers". The whole thing is a million miles away from their brilliant album, Night Work, and has left us slightly perplexed.
Let's hope that the Scissors next album isn't a collection of Tammy Wynette covers.
In other news, it's a pity Ana Matronic isn't a bit more of a vocalist, isn't it? She's almost the most perfect front-woman.

The Making Of Marina's Next Video
I'm a Marina and the Diamonds fan, I really am. I enjoyed her debut album - The Family Jewels - and I enjoy her anti-Hollywood witticisms. But I've got a sinking feeling that more people are going to see the following 'making of' for her next video - "Oh No!" - than are going to watch the promo itself.
Anyway, Vogue have put said 'making of' behind-the-scenes thing online here. It's worth a look if you're into Marina or clothes.
On the up side, it's all looking a bit Betty Boo for the new video, eh?

This New Hoosiers Video...
This new Hoosiers video is one Katy Brand cameo away from being an ITV2 comedy. But seriously... I don't think the song is very good. Not least because the lead singer bloke seems to be doing a parody of the lead singer of the Hoosiers. Do you know what I mean?
Anyway, that was "Choices". Atleast they tried, etc.

Christina's Next Single Gets The Remix Treatment
Poor Bionic. It seems to be sinking faster than Chris Moyles in a swimming pool.
In an attempt to rectify this, it would seem that Christina Aguilera has scrapped plans to release the assault on good taste that is "Woohoo" as the second single in the US, opting to send a slightly jazzed up version of the sublime "You Lost Me" to radio instead.
You can hear the remixed "You Lost Me" here (Windows Media Player). Quite why a track as good as "You Lost Me" needed a remix to be put out there... well, 'you've lost me' (*hangs self*). But it's all quite pleasant and will hopefully score poor old Xtina a few more sales.

Miley Cyrus Doesn't Care If You Pirate Her Album So Long As You're Listening
Another day, another Miley Cyrus performance to YouTube. Our favourite popstar of the moment took to the LA House Of Blues stage to perform tracks from her latest album for a few hundred adoring fans.
The first half of the show was broadcast live online via MTV (YouTube links below) and features a few Miley highlights. Not least her take on illegal file-sharing. Miley asked the audience:
Have some of you guys got the record? [...] Hopefully you've seen something on YouTube or gotten it free. I don't care, I just hope you like it. Don't pretend you didn't get it for free. I'd pirate my record... please don't, but...
And this is why we love Miley, because we bet she's got a premium Rapidshare account. Anyway...
Miley performed: - Can't Be Tamed - Who Owns My Heart - Liberty Walk - Every Rose Has Its Thorn - Robot - My Heart Beats For Love
She even gave a nice little dedication to her gay following on the last one. It's nice to know that at only 17 Miley knows her place in pop culture. Enjoy:
In the new issue of Rolling Stone, Lady Gaga rabbits on about her next album. She's been doing this for a little while, which is terribly frustrating, because we already know we won't be hearing any of this new material until next year.
Gaga confirmed on Letterman that the record is already finished, but she unleashed a few details to Rolling Stone:
As for the subject matter of the music, Gaga says she's moved on with writing songs about her quest for fame to crafting tunes with an angry, perhaps political bent. "Why are we still talking about 'Don't ask, don't tell'?" she says. "It's like, what fucking year is it? It makes me crazy! And I have been for three years baking cakes - and now I'm going to bake a cake that has a bitter jelly. The message of the new music is now more bitter than it was before. Because the sweeter the cake, the more bitter the jelly can be."
She has also revealed that the album titled will literally be 'unveiled' as she'll be tattooing it somewhere on body.
Crazy woman.

Ke$ha at the MMVAs...
Here's a slightly dodgy video of Ke$ha performing her big massive single "Tik Tok" at last night's MMVAs. No, I know, we thought it was just some slightly skanky girl invading the stage too... but it is infact international popstar Ke$ha.
It's good to see all her hired friends having such a good time on stage.
I'll be putting up a 'thing' about the festival on Wednesday. So if you're going, make sure you read it. The line-up for this year includes Scissor Sisters, La Roux, Shakira and the Pet Shop Boys. So if you're going, you should be in for a good one.
I, however, am not going. I shall be sitting at home copying and pasting YouTube videos of the festivities onto Daneeeboy.com. MY LIFE IS SO GLAMOROUS. That is unless someone wants to take me in their suitcase or something... I'm quite light...
